NITROUS EXPRESS INFINITI G35 SYSTEM

To Nitrous or Not, that is the question?

So, Not content with Supercharger Power alone, i am contemplating adding a little bit of Boost Juice, to the equation. Sure the engine and Vortech supercharger can handle the little extra power, so long as I keep a conservative tune on it. Either way, you gotta agree, that if you rolled up to see the V3 Blower under the hood, and then as you made your way around the trunk, remembered seeing Nitrous Express solenoids attached to the engine bay, and were wondering, Why the F---, would he have nitrous stuff in the engine bay... then, it hit you like a shot of adrenaline right to your heart, the moment you saw this bottle strapped down in the trunk billet bracket, "Oh, well that answers that", you'd probably be taken back a few steps....well, I need to talk to some experts, before we strap this in...so stay tuned...

New Products Update

Well, as we prepare for the installation of the Auto Meter Gauges, we figured out, that to run the Wideband 02 AF Ratio Gauge, we need to upgrade our Downpipe, to one that already has the 02 Wideband sensor bung already included. So, while we get that sorted out, were taking a look at a couple of new items here in this post that will soon appear installed, here on the blog.

As you already know, we are installing the Auto Meter Gauges to have a better way to monitor our engine critical components, and we will be running the Nitrous Express Kit for the G35, but we wanted to upgrade the factory bracket for the 10Lb. Bottle. We want to make sure the Nitrous set up, is securely in place in the truck, so we decided to upgrade the factory provided bracket included, with a more durable solid billet bracket, (the one you see here) designed and engineered by the one of the Premiere Billet Custom Parts manufacturers that has been in existence, since before Billet was Cool; UPR Products, www.uprproducts.com. Now, before you start asking yourself, why would he go to a Mustang Billet Parts manufacturer to get a billet Nitrous Bottle Bracket? Well , all I have to say, is that, if you know anything about drag racing, then surely, you have heard the name, "Billy Glidden" at some point in your life. Billy Glidden, holds the records as the Worlds Fastest Nitrous Assisted 10.5W Mustang and Pontiac GTO When it comes to Nitrous, Billy Glidden has a "PHD" in the subject. His Nitrous Fed cars have graced the pages of literally every performance drag racing magazine in the world, and if Billy Glidden trust, UPR Products Billet line, for both his Mustang and his NHRA Pro Stock 6.50 second, 200+ MPH quarter mile Pontiac GTO, then, surely I can trust their Billet manufacturing expertise. http://www.upr-images.com/UPR-CUSTOMERS/Full%20Size%20Images/billy-glidden-1.jpg

Next Step, to Monitor the Vitals of the Engine with the help of Auto Meter Gauges

Well, as far as the "SCleeper" look is concerned, I'm not going to be able to continue to run without monitoring all the vital signals the engine sends, without the use of some quality gauges. No one else to turn to but Auto Meter, the Masters of Gauges. One call to the folks at Auto Meter, and speaking to Kris Carlson, he recommended a 3 Gauge Package, Boost, Air Fuel and Fuel Pressure, along with their Bad Ass to the bone, Auto Meter Nexus controller. The Nexus controller allows your gauges to match the factory dash colors of virtually any car out on the market. http://autometer.com/demos/nexus/
check out how cool these things are. Gauges install is scheduled in the next couple of weeks, with a friend of mines, Sr. Editor of Modified Mustangs and Fords, Mark Houlahan. We will be posting pics of the complete install and some video as well so stay tuned...

Upgrade Time, from Vortech V2 SC, to a New Vortech V3 self-contained SC

Well, could not leave well enough alone...So I called my Marketing friend at Vortech Engineering, and we both agreed, it's upgrade time. Nothing wrong with the V2, but the new V3, self contained Supercharger, no oil from the oil pan tap? Too good to pass up. So out came the V2, and the new Polished V3 goes in, literally in like an hours time, thanks to my friend Larry Macedo, at Macedo Motorsports in Sanford for the install.

Here are pics of 1- the V2, 2- the V2 getting the "stare down" by the New V3 self-contained Vortech SuperCharger, 3- The V3, showing the oil drain line

New G35 Jewelry, the Polished Vortech Hi-Rev Supercharger

So, we finally completed the Vortech SC video install on Project G35 SCleeper, and here is the video for everyone to enjoy..

Thanks to G35/G37, Skyline GT-R, Nissan 350Z, Nissan 370Z Tuning Guru Jeremy Tibbs who did an awesome install on the Vortech Supercharger, man what a detailed shop, they triple checked everything before we started the car after 2 days of good detailed work. Here is my baseline and post SC install dyno first of several more to come.

Considering this car made 255 to the rw on the baseline pull, and we installed the system as per factory instructions, no upgrades, I am very satisfied with the performance. the most awesome part is the wicked "blow-off" valve discharge sound, woooooshhh, to the right side of the car, it always grabs everyone's attention.

Next on the list of Mods:
AutoMeter Gauges, if your trying to monitor Boost, Air Fuel Ratio and Fuel Pressure with anything else, "go get your head examined first.."
Bigger Pulley for more Boost
Deaschwerks Injectors for more fuel
Bassani Catback Exhaust for more hp and a nice throaty rumble
Water-Methanol Safe Injection System from Snow Performance and my friend Matt Snow, if your running a Supercharger or Turbo or Nitrous without one, see AutoMeter "quote"

Believe me, you want Plated Gold in Orlando doing your Carbon Fiber install, see below why...

Next on the agenda, dressing up a little of the interior with real 3D carbon Fiber dash overlay, I turned to PLated Gold in Orlando, FLorida, and called Desi, the Shop Owner, she hooked me up with the real deal kit, it took 2 weeks to get it delivered, and on install day she sends over a hottie, by the name of Megan, man she sure was easy on the eyes...check out the before and after interior kit install pics...

Project G35 SCleeper, the objective, 400RWHP

Well, this is my G35 Project car, I nicknamed her G35 SCleeper, a 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT , now outfitted with a Vortech Supercharger System, SQ-Trim, It all started just as any performance car mods start. "I'll just do a cold air intake, that't it...maybe a custom tune, but that's definately it...and some wheels, some carbon fiber interior, the real 3D stuff too...but it mostly had to all look stock, in order to fit in with the SCleeper name
(SC for Supercharged)

Luckily I work at this cool company called PowerTV, www.powertvonline.com, were the equivalent of any major viral video sharing community, except we get to do what most people dream of, we take stock performance cars, and turn them into tire shredding, smoke billowing, hp and boost spitting street machines , ready to unleash the wrath of pure hp and tq carnage on any unsuspecting junkiecar owner trying to impress us with his loud coffee can sized exhaust and 27 performance company stickers on the side, good for about -7hp.

First Mod- the Quest for instant HP Gains....Vortech Supercharger

so I surfed the internet and found the best 2 wesbites for my G35, G35 Driver.com and 6MT, joined as a member and started paying attention as to who the key players, true performance gurus of these "unleased beasts of fury" cars we love, the G35, the 350Z, it's all the same platform, except for the G35 being a little longer and 2 extra small Recaro seats in the back to compliment the front Recaros.

Performance Factory, there it was, Orlando, Florida, could it be true, just 6.3 miles from my Power TV Offices?

A quick call to my friend GC at Vortech Superchargers confirmed "Performance Factory" www.performancefactory.com is the #1 Vortech G35 and 350Z Vortech dealer, he needs to be involved in the video...I want to produce a video to help promote our new Supercharger Systems for the G35 and 350Z one of our best selling sytems. I volunteered, my Platinum G35 6MT 2006 to go under the knife, the decision was made and etched in stone, no turning back now. Boost was eminently on it's way...

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product_variation.php?pvk=672,.

So the Vortech Supercharger system was shipped to Performance Factory in Orlando, meanwhile the forums all told of the same stock hp for the G35, on the dyno 240-250 rwhp was the norm. I wanted to go to about 310-320 to start off, plan a few more modifications go from there to about 360-375, a couple of more mods and hld it around 375-400 rwhp.
